The Question:
How do we make another bubble tea cafe standout from the crowd?
The Answer:
POP Cafe! Bubble milk tea or boba tea is a fun, sweet treat so I wanted to embrace those aspects. Pastel colors and round lowercase fonts were chosen to emulate this playfulness.
The Process
As always, it all starts with a brainstorming session. What would make a good name for a bubble milk tea cafe? POP! It's fun and evokes the best part of bubble milk tea - getting to "pop" the boba when you eat it (also spearing your straw through the plastic top). Typography was key for this design to work. I tried out a lot of different fonts for the word 'pop' and landed on 8 by CAST, which I then modified to round out some of the edges and create the bursting appearance for the 'O'. I placed the text "bubble milk tea cafe" so that the 'L' in milk lined up with the straw. I chose a soft, pastel color palette to compliment the warm brown of the bubble milk tea.

I recently embarked on my coding journey, with a particular focus on React, and decided to put my newfound skills to the test by creating a website for the Pop Bubble Milk Tea Cafe. This project served as a valuable introduction to coding, allowing me to gain insights into the world of web development and collaborate more effectively with developers in the future. Despite being a beginner, I thoroughly enjoyed the process of bringing my design concepts to life on the website, demonstrating that even a simple project can be a canvas for creativity and learning. It's been an exciting and insightful journey, and I look forward to further honing my coding skills as I continue to explore the world of web development.
