About me
Hi, I'm Aliya, a graphic designer, illustrator, photographer and dog-lover. I specialize in creating highly conceptual visual experiences that make people notice, think and, sometimes, laugh. With a Bachelor's degree in Art History and a minor in Art, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my work. My years of experience in education have helped hone my problem solving skills and flexibility as I adjusted to individual student's needs.
I was born and raised in Oakland, CA but have traveled all over the world, including studying abroad for six months in Argentina and living in Spain for a year. (Yes, I speak Spanish.) I currently reside in Los Angeles but am expecting to move back to the San Francisco Bay Area soon.
One of the things I will miss most about Los Angeles is my pottery studio. If you have skimmed my portfolio, you probably already know that I'm obsessed with pottery. I love that it's a way that I get to create with my hands in this increasingly digital world. Making ceramics is all about the process and taking the time to do things right and that is what I like to provide for my clients - a thorough, detailed process that results in a beautiful design. So let's talk!
